Party DIY: Tulle Centerpiece

This DIY takes some time to make but the end result is just so cute! You need ALOT of tulle and push pins.  I bought a bunch of spools of tulle in different colors online at Amazon and it was really cheap. All of the tulle is pinned onto a 7 inch round styrofoam ball I bought at Michael's.  I added in some butterflies (also from Michael's). Perfect for a butterfly birthday!

Cut the tulle into strips about 12 inches long. Take one strip, fold in half and twist the bottom.  Pin it onto the styrofoam ball. I used about 4 spools of tulle and left a portion of styrofoam bare to place on top of a glass vase.
Add a wooden dowel to the styrofoam before pinning the tulle to make a topiary piece.  You will need to cover the whole ball in tulle for this. Another idea, attach fishing line or pretty ribbon to make a hanging tulle pom pom.

This is a topiary that I had made for my daughter for her first birthday party.  It took so long to make, there was no way I was getting rid of it! I stuck it in a vase I had in the house and put it in her room.
I think these are so cute for bridal and baby showers too!
